Kava 14 Upgrade: Seamless Bridge Between Cosmos and Ethereum Now Possible
Kava, a Layer 1 blockchain that combines the power of Ethereum with the speed and interoperability of Cosmos, has announced the Kava 14 upgrade. This upgrade introduces “internal bridge” technology to seamlessly transition native Cosmos assets into Ethereum’s ERC-20 token standard and vice versa.
Kava 14 is one of several planned milestones. In early July, Tether made Kava a gateway for issuing native USDT on Cosmos. With the launch of Kava 14, USDT can now be easily converted on Cosmos and from there traded on other Layer 1 platforms with native USDT, including Bitcoin (via Omni and Liquid protocols), Ethereum, Tron, and others.
Scott Stuart, founder of Kava, explains: “The launch of Tether on the Kava blockchain offers tremendous dynamic power.” In line with this, Kucoin now supports Kava’s Cosmos and Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) platforms, offering a reliable CEX for transactions within the Cosmos ecosystem. At the same time, Curve Finance’s launch of a USDT asset pool offers a decentralized solution for experienced users. Other developments include the planned launch of Stargate, a leading omnichain asset layer, on Kava, which will lead to increased usage and investments.
