The cryptocurrency market has been characterized by high volatility in recent weeks. This caused many assets to lose momentum as prices plummeted. However, Michaël van de Poppe, a well-known crypto investor, trader and analyst with almost 700,000 followers on Twitter, is bullish on certain digital currencies. He is particularly optimistic about Chainlink (LINK), which currently ranks 22nd among the most valuable cryptocurrencies.
In a recent tweet, van de Poppe stated that Chainlink is on the verge of starting a bullish price rally. He predicts that LINK will post gains of more than 150 percent, leading to a new high of $15. Van de Poppe explained: "Chainlink is back in range. Flipped $6 as support through which we are about to take many highs and expand higher."
However, at the time of the report, it seems unlikely that LINK will achieve the outperformance predicted by van de Poppe. Like many other cryptocurrencies, LINK has recently suffered losses. Although LINK's price has increased by more than 5 percent in the last 7 days, the altcoin is trading at a price of $6.28 at the time of publication of the study, having lost more than 4 percent of its gains in the last 24 hours.
The analyst also has his eye on Litecoin (LTC), predicting that it is well-positioned to see a price breakout. In the long term, Litecoin could rise to as high as $180. If bulls maintain their momentum, Litecoin could even trade at an impressive $250. Van de Poppe explained: "Litecoin looks good. Break of 200-week moving average and 200-week exponential moving average. Break of resistance at $100. New yearly highs. Targets are $180 and $250 on this run, probably the first will be the end."
At the time of the report, Litecoin is trading at $102, although it is struggling to get out of the red zone. Nevertheless, Litecoin is up 20 percent in the last 7 days.
Finally, the crypto analyst expressed his thoughts on Bitcoin. Although Bitcoin is stagnant compared to other assets, van de Poppe hopes that it will reach the $31,000 mark. He said: "Bitcoin isn't moving that much, everything is focused on some macro events and tomorrow's holiday. I'm excited to see if Litecoin can continue the rally and other altcoins follow suit. I still expect Bitcoin to break $31,000."
