Vitalik Buterin Has Suggestions for Dogecoin and Doge to Collaborate with Ethereum – Altcoins Bitcoin News

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has some suggestions on what he would personally like to see with Dogecoin and the meme cryptocurrency collaborating with Ethereum.

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin shared his thoughts on the possible collaboration between Dogecoin and Ethereum on Wednesday as part of a Twitter experiment in which only the 268 people he followed can ask him questions.

Zhu Su, CEO of Three Arrows Capital, asked: "What are some promising ideas for collaboration between Ethereum and Doge? What interested you in Doge for the project?" Su recently said that he “ very bullish ” on Dogecoin and that the meme cryptocurrency “has no risk of ever having regulatory issues.”

Referring to Proof-of-Stake (PoS) and Proof-of-Work (PoW), Buterin Su replied:

Personally, I hope that Doge can switch to PoS soon, perhaps with Ethereum code. I also hope they don't cancel the $5 billion annual PoW issuance, but instead put it into some kind of DAO that finances global public goods. Would fit well with Dogecoin's non-greedy healthy ethos.

In June, Buterin also spoke about a possible collaboration between Ethereum and Dogecoin. “If Doge wants to somehow build a bridge to Ethereum and then people can trade DOGE thousands of times per second within the loop ring, then that would be amazing,” the Ethereum co-founder said. "I think if we can have a secure Doge-to-Ethereum bridge. That would be amazing, and then if Ethereum gets scalability that works for Ethereum assets, you could trade wrapped DOGE with very low transaction fees and very high speed," he further said.

In August, the Dogecoin Foundation launched with Buterin as one of them Board Advisor, along with Jared Birchall, a close associate of Tesla CEO Elon Musk, another prominent Dogecoin supporter.

Among the numerous questions Buterin received as part of his Twitter experiment was whether he was likely to create another cryptocurrency. The Ethereum co-founder simply replied “No.”
