Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team Signs Long-Term Deal with Crypto Exchange FTX –

After a series of partnerships this year, FTX Trading Limited announced on Thursday that it has partnered with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 team. According to FTX, the relationship “will span multiple racing seasons” and the FTX logo will be “highlighted” on both cars and drivers.

Well-known car brands and world-famous racing teams are entering the blockchain and cryptocurrency space in large numbers this year. Whether through promoting crypto platforms or NFTs, popular brands and racing teams are looking to enter the blockchain industry.

On Thursday, FTX announced that it is working with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 team and that the partnership will be long-term. While we know that the FTX logo will be displayed on both Mercedes F1 drivers and cars, other types of FTX branding will be unveiled during the upcoming Russian Grand Prix. The Formula 1 race for the Russian Grand Prix with Mercedes F1 is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 26th.

Bankman-Fried added:

FTX Is Knee-Deep In Sports, Crypto Exchange Logo Featured On F1 Team's Fleet Of Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Garage

FTX has made numerous moves in 2021 and Raised $900 million in a recent Series B funding round. The company is knee-deep in the sports industry and recently launched a commercial with Super Bowl star Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bündchen.

FTX also became that The official cryptocurrency exchange of the MLB in a long-term contract with the professional baseball outfit. In addition to the logos that the Mercedes-AMG Petronas team will wear, FTX logos will be displayed on the team's fleet of Mercedes-Benz trucks.

“FTX will also have access to Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 team members,” the announcement said. “Including drivers Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas to extend the reach of the FTX brand to the global Formula 1 fan base through marketing initiatives.”

The company says Mercedes F1 and FTX will also unveil other initiatives in the future, which may include an NFT collection, FTX Pay integration, and other concepts.
