Mark Wahlberg's production company - Urealistic Ideas - has reportedly teamed up with media company - Fortune - to release a documentary revealing the controversial relationship between Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) and Changpeng Zhao (CZ).

Making a film out of the saga
According to The Hollywood Reporter, society at large may soon watch a documentary depicting the confrontation between former FTX CEO – SBF – and Binance’s top executive – Zhao. The two entities that have decided to collaborate on the project are Unrealistic Ideas and Fortune.
The former is a production company founded in 2018 by American actor Mark Wahlberg, filmmaker Archie Gips and producing partner Stephen Levinson. The company was behind the documentary miniseries McMillions, which was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2020.
Regarding the upcoming project, Gips said the story of SBF and CZ has “captivated the attention” of numerous people. He revealed that producers found many “dynamic storytellers” who could reveal interesting facts about the relationship between two of the most famous people in the crypto industry.
Fortune Editor-in-Chief Shontell said her organization was “incredibly excited” to partner with Unrealistic Ideas. The documentary will give people “a personal 360-degree look at the entire FTX saga,” she added.
Zhao, other executives at Binance and some people associated with FTX have reportedly agreed to take part in the film.
This isn't the first time someone has planned to go deep into the drama. Michael Lewis – the author of “The Big Short” and “Moneyball” – expressed his intention to then write a book about the demise of FTX and Bankman-FriedexpenditureTime with the former billionaire in his parents' house.
SBF against CZ
FTX’s CEO posted a series of mysterious tweets shortly after the community understood his platform’s liquidity issues. He insistedthat a “special sparring partner” may have triggered the fallout. As a leading player in the industry, some speculated that this rival could be Binance or its boss – Zhao. Also the largest crypto exchangepraisedto sell off its FTT tokens (worth $584 million at the time) in early November.
Zhaorefutedthe accusations of describing SBF as a “psychopath” for writing such a statement. He explained that Binance is ready to support other cryptocurrency firms during the challenging times and not to eliminate them. CZ also told SBF to “put on a suit, go to DC and start answering questions.”
Bankman-Fried was arrested in the Bahamas in December on charges of being the main culprit behind the downfall of FTX and committing fraud. He spent a week in a local prison and was later extradited to the United States.
The American authoritiesallowedhim to remain in his parents' home under a $250 million bond, sparking additional controversy in the case. HisCourt hearingOn October 2, 2023, it will be determined whether he was involved in the negative event and his possible punishment. If found guilty, he could serve up to 115 years in federal prison.
