About 65,000 of Oman's residents are crypto holders and the majority of them are either high school or college graduates, a new study from Souq Analyst has found. According to the study results, an overwhelming majority (90%) of crypto owners in Oman are between 18 and 44 years old.

Crypto awareness in Oman

According to the findings of a new study According to Souq Analyst, about 65,000 residents of Oman, or 1.9% of the country's adult population, own cryptocurrency. Despite the seemingly low ratio of crypto holders to population, the results suggest that crypto awareness is significantly high in Oman. The report explains:

An impressive 97.9% of Omani adults have heard of cryptocurrency, indicating increasing awareness.

The study also found that an overwhelming majority (90%) of Omani residents who own crypto are between 18 and 44 years old.

Oman's highly educated crypto holders

In the study, which involved over 200 people, Souq Analyst also found that about 66% of crypto owners in Oman have a bachelor's degree or higher qualification. Additionally, the study found that about 25% of respondents had completed high school.

Regarding the composition of crypto assets held, the study results show that over 55% of crypto holders in Oman are Bitcoin holders. The results also indicate that almost 50% of respondents are owners ETH while around 25% are holders of the stablecoin Tether.

In terms of the value of crypto assets held, over 12% of respondents reported that the value of their respective portfolios exceeded $25,900 or 10,000 Omani Rials. However, a larger proportion of respondents (over 35%) own crypto assets with a US dollar value below $259.

Meanwhile published in remarks on the blogging Laraontheblock, Mohammed Al-Tamami, the founder of Souq Analyst, praised the study results as being “generally useful for everyone.”
