Strike, a Bitcoin-based wallet and exchange service, has landed in Argentina and brings USDT Integration for in-country users. Strike CEO Jack Mallers explained that his goal in bringing the app to the country is to provide Argentinians with a platform to maintain stable cash value. Strike brings stablecoin integration to Argentines

Strike, a popular Bitcoin-based wallet, has launched in Argentina, offering Argentinians a new way to store their savings via stablecoins. The announcement of this development was made by Strike CEO Jack Mallers, who explained that due to the financial hardships of the country's citizens, a migration to foreign currencies such as the dollar is taking place.

Mallers explained:

There is now unprecedented demand for an open monetary system that lives on a distributed network, has known monetary policy, has a fixed supply and is resistant to censorship.

Mallers continues explained that Strike offers “a stable cash balance that can be spent immediately and without fees” in its Argentine installment.

While Strike is known for its Bitcoin and Lightning network features, it launched in Argentina with USDT as his backbone. This was seen as strange by some Local media Points of sale, considering that Mallers has publicly been a big supporter of the Bitcoin ecosystem and Strike has already implemented these services in other locations including El Salvador.

The current version of the application used for Argentina USDT, Tether's popular stablecoin, as the backbone to store value for users.
